Anti-inflammatory Diet for Depression

Evidence suggests people who are depressed have inflammation, and you could get depression by eating foods that cause inflammation. The foods that cause the highest inflammation are sodas, refined grains and meat, including fish.

A clinical study of 43,685 women showed the more inflammatory a diet, the higher risk of depression.

Another study shows endotoxins in animal products cause a burst of inflammation shortly after a meal, causing feelings of depression & social disconnection.

Most anti-inflammatory diet is based on fruits and vegetables, possibly because of anti-inflammatory effects of antioxidants.
